This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1532W) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GLP-2. Glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) promotes nutrient absorption via expansion of the mucosal epithelium by stimulation of crypt cell proliferation and inhibition of apoptosis in the small intestine. It also reduces epithelial permeability, and decreases mealstimulated gastric acid secretion and gastrointestinal motility. GLP-2 promotes the expansion of the intestinal epithelium through stimulation of the GLP-2 receptor, a member of the glucagon-secretin G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. CABT-L1532W is suitable for use in ELISA application. CABT-L1532W is supplied as a lyophilized formulation. Reconstitute with 50 μl of distilled water for the equivalent of undiluted antiserum. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
