General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5707) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SLC6A18, targeting the amino acid region 224–413 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SLC6A18 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. SLC6A18, also known as XTRP2 and B0AT3, belongs to the SLC6 family of proteins. SLC6A18 acts as specific transporters for neurotransmitters, amino acids and osmolytes such as betaine, taurine and creatine. SLC6A18 is highly expressed at the luminal membrane of kidney proximal tubules and displays 50% identity with SLC6A19 (B0AT1), which is the main neutral amino acid transporter in both kidney and small intestine (PMID: 19478081, PMID: 21420947).
CABT-BL5707 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
CABT-BL5707 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
