This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5602) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human SDC2, targeting the amino acid region 101–201 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SDC2 from mouse, rat, cow, chicken, dog, pig, and horse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane (type I) heparan sulfate proteoglycan and is a member of the syndecan proteoglycan family. The syndecans mediate cell binding, cell signaling, and cytoskeletal organization and syndecan receptors are required for internalization of the HIV-1 tat protein. The syndecan-2 protein functions as an integral membrane protein and participates in cell proliferation, cell migration and cell-matrix interactions via its receptor for extracellular matrix proteins. Altered syndecan-2 expression has been detected in several different tumor types.
CABT-BL5602 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
CABT-BL5602 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
