General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4697) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human FUT8, targeting the amino acid region 311–410 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with FUT8 from rat, mouse, pig, cow, horse, and rabbit. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes an enzyme belonging to the family of fucosyltransferases. The product of this gene catalyzes the transfer of fucose from GDP-fucose to N-linked type complex glycopeptides. This enzyme is distinct from other fucosyltransferases which catalyze alpha1-2, alpha1-3, and alpha1-4 fucose addition. The expression of this gene may contribute to the malignancy of cancer cells and to their invasive and metastatic capabilities. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
CABT-BL4697 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:100–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL4697 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
