This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4470) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CYP4X1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes and is located within a cluster of genes belonging to this superfamily on chromosome 1. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. The expression pattern of a similar rat protein suggests that this protein may be involved in neurovascular function in the brain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. CABT-BL4470 is suitable for use in IF (immunofluorescence) (1:40–1:200) application. CABT-BL4470 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
