General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL414) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human BBX, targeting the amino acid region 249–597 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. BBX, also named HBP2, is a protein with a high mobility group (HMG) domain that belongs to the Sox (Sry-related HMG box) family of transcription factors. As a DNA-binding domain in HBP2, HMG is essential for its function in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. HBP2 activates CdcIO-dependent transcription at G1/s and allows growth of cdc10-129, resldelta and rep2delta mutant cells at the restrictive temperature.
CABT-BL414 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:20–1:200) applications.
CABT-BL414 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
