General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-10822) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZNF551, targeting the amino acid region 72–293 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ZNF551 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZNF551 (Zinc Finger Protein 551) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family that functions primarily as a DNA-binding transcriptional regulator. It is localized in the nucleus and is predicted to act mainly as a transcriptional repressor through recruitment of chromatin-modifying complexes such as KAP1/TRIM28 and histone deacetylases, leading to epigenetic gene silencing. Like many KRAB-associated zinc finger proteins, ZNF551 is implicated in regulating developmental gene expression programs, cellular differentiation, and maintenance of genomic stability. Although its specific target genes and biological pathways remain incompletely defined, it is believed to participate in broader transcriptional regulatory networks that influence cell identity and proliferation. Overall, ZNF551 is considered an epigenetic regulator with putative roles in transcriptional repression, but its precise physiological functions still require further experimental validation.
DPABH-10822 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:2,000–1:12,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-10822 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
