General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19444) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UTRN, targeting the amino acid region 1–252 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human UTRN from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Utrophin is a protein that is structurally and functionally similar to dystrophin. It is abundantly found in various organs and tissues, including the lung, kidney, liver, spleen, brain, skeletal muscle, and heart. During skeletal muscle development, utrophin is highly expressed in utero and gradually replaced by dystrophin. It is enriched at the neuromuscular and myotendinous junctions in adult skeletal muscles. Utrophin can act as a surrogate for dystrophin in the absence of dystrophin and has been shown to be beneficial in the natural repair process. Modulating utrophin levels through small compounds or pharmacological agents is a potential therapeutic strategy for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
DPABH-19444 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-19444 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
