General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28782) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human UROD, targeting the amino acid region 1–367 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Uroporphyrinogen III decarboxylase (UROD; EC 4.1.1.37) is a cytosolic enzyme essential to the heme biosynthetic pathway, catalyzing the fifth step by sequentially decarboxylating the four acetate side chains of uroporphyrinogen III to produce coproporphyrinogen III, an intermediate that proceeds to heme formation. This reaction occurs after the cyclization of hydroxymethylbilane by uroporphyrinogen III synthase and liberates four molecules of carbon dioxide, enabling the pathway's advancement primarily in the bone marrow for hemoglobin production and in the liver for cytochromes.
DPABH-28782 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-28782 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
