General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05825) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TMPO, targeting the amino acid region 1–243 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human TMPO from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Thymopoietin is a protein encoded by the TMPO gene in humans, located on chromosome 12q23.1, which through alternative splicing produces multiple isoforms that function as integral components of the nuclear envelope and intranuclear structures. These isoforms, including the prominent alpha (LAP2α), beta (LAP2β), and gamma (LAP2γ) variants, contain a characteristic LEM domain that facilitates interactions with lamins, chromatin, and other nuclear proteins, thereby contributing to nuclear architecture, gene expression regulation, cell cycle control, and DNA replication. Originally identified in the 1970s as a 49-amino-acid thymic hormone secreted by epithelial cells in the thymus, thymopoietin plays a key role in inducing T-cell differentiation and modulating immune responses by elevating cyclic GMP in mature T cells and cyclic AMP in precursors.
DPABH-05825 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-05825 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
