This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14604) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TFB1M, targeting the amino acid region 1–346 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a dimethyltransferase that methylates the conserved stem loop of mitochondrial 12S rRNA. The encoded protein also is part of the basal mitochondrial transcription complex and is necessary for mitochondrial gene expression. The methylation and transcriptional activities of this protein are independent of one another. Variations in this gene may influence the severity of aminoglycoside-induced deafness (AID).[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2010]. DPABH-14604 is suitable for use in IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IF/ICC (1:400–1:1,600) applications. DPABH-14604 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
