This product (Catalog No. DPABH-27251) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TERF2IP, targeting the amino acid region 1–268 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TERF2IP, also named as DRIP5, RAP1, is a 399 amino acid protein, which belongs to the RAP1 family. TERF2IP associates with chromosomes, both at telomeres and in extratelomeric sites. TERF2IP acts both as a regulator of telomere function and as a transcription regulator. TERF2IP is involved in the regulation of telomere length and protection as a component of the shelterin complex (telosome). In contrast to other components of the shelterin complex, it is dispensible for telomere capping and does not participate in the protection of telomeres against non-homologous end-joining (NHEJ)-mediated repair. The calculated molecular weight of TERF2IP is 44 kDa, but modified TERF2IP, is about 60 kDa. (PMID: 15838871).
DPABH-27251 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:1,000–1:4,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-27251 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
