General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11648) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TCF4, targeting the amino acid region 552–631 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Transcription Factor 4 (TCF4) is a gene located on the long arm of chromosome 18 (18q21.2) that encodes a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor protein essential for nervous system development and function. The TCF4 protein, also known as ITF-2 or SEF-2, belongs to the class I E-protein family and functions by forming homodimers or heterodimers with other bHLH proteins to bind E-box DNA motifs (CANNTG sequences), thereby regulating the transcription of target genes involved in cellular differentiation, proliferation, and neuronal excitability. Broadly expressed across embryonic and adult tissues, particularly in the brain, TCF4 is critical for processes such as neurogenesis, oligodendrocyte maturation, myelination, neuronal migration, and synaptic plasticity.
DPABH-11648 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-11648 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
