This product (Catalog No. DPABH-28927) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human TACO1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with TACO1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. TACO1 (Translational Activator of Cytochrome c Oxidase 1) is a mitochondrial protein that acts as a specific translational activator for the mitochondria-encoded subunit I (MT-CO1) of cytochrome c oxidase (COX/Complex IV). It binds directly to the mitochondrial COX1 mRNA to facilitate its translation, which is crucial for the proper assembly of the respiratory chain. Mutations in the TACO1 gene cause deficient complex IV activity, leading to late-onset Leigh syndrome, a severe neurodegenerative disorder. DPABH-28927 is suitable for use in IHC (1:20–1:100) application. DPABH-28927 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
