General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16546) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SUPT16H. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SUPT16H from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Transcription of protein-coding genes can be reconstituted on naked DNA with only the general transcription factors and RNA polymerase II. However, this minimal system cannot transcribe DNA packaged into chromatin, indicating that accessory factors may facilitate access to DNA. One such factor, FACT (facilitates chromatin transcription), interacts specifically with histones H2A/H2B to effect nucleosome disassembly and transcription elongation. FACT is composed of an 80 kDa subunit and a 140 kDa subunit; this gene encodes the 140 kDa subunit.
DPABH-16546 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:100–1:200) applications.
DPABH-16546 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.42% Potassium phosphate, 0.87% Sodium chloride, pH 7.3, 30% glycerol, and 0.01% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
