General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05777) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SNRPC, targeting the amino acid region 1–159 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide C (SNRPC), also known as U1C, is a protein encoded by the human SNRPC gene located on chromosome 6p21.31, consisting of six exons that produce a 159-amino-acid polypeptide with a molecular mass of approximately 17 kDa. This protein is a specific and essential component of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle, which plays a pivotal role in the initial recognition of the 5' splice site on pre-mRNA transcripts and facilitates the subsequent assembly of the spliceosome complex for accurate intron excision during constitutive and alternative splicing. The N-terminal region of SNRPC features a conserved zinc finger-like domain (residues 1-38) that is critical for its stable binding to the U1 snRNA within the U1 snRNP, ensuring the particle's structural integrity and functional specificity in the early stages of spliceosome formation.
DPABH-05777 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-05777 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
