This product (Catalog No. DPABH-04882) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SNRPA, targeting the amino acid region 99–208 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein polypeptide A (SNRPA), also known as U1A, is a 32-kDa protein encoded by the SNRPA gene located on chromosome 19q13.2 in humans, consisting of six exons that produce a 1.4-kb mRNA transcript. This protein is a specific component of the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) particle, the most abundant U snRNP, which plays a crucial role in the spliceosome by recognizing and binding to the 5' splice site of pre-messenger RNAs (pre-mRNAs) to facilitate their splicing into mature mRNAs. SNRPA associates directly with stem-loop II of the U1 snRNA via its RNA-binding domain, a conserved RNP consensus sequence, enabling the assembly of the spliceosomal complex and contributing to the coupling of splicing with polyadenylation processes.
DPABH-04882 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-04882 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
