General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20893) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SELT, targeting the amino acid region 110–195 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a selenoprotein, which contains a selenocysteine (Sec) residue at its active site. The selenocysteine is encoded by the UGA codon that normally signals translation termination. The 3' UTR of selenoprotein genes have a common stem-loop structure, the sec insertion sequence (SECIS), that is necessary for the recognition of UGA as a Sec codon rather than as a stop signal. DPABH-20893 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) application. DPABH-20893 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
