General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15306) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human SDC4, targeting the amino acid region 18–145 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Syndecan-4 (SDC4) is a ubiquitously expressed transmembrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan (HSPG) and the fourth member of the syndecan family in mammals, alongside syndecans-1, -2, and -3. Encoded by the SDC4 gene located on human chromosome 20q12, it functions as a multifunctional cell surface receptor that bridges the extracellular matrix (ECM) and intracellular signaling pathways, regulating essential processes such as cell adhesion, migration, proliferation, endocytosis, and mechanotransduction. Unlike syndecans-1 through -3, which exhibit tissue-specific expression, syndecan-4 is found abundantly in diverse organs including the liver, kidney, brain, lung, heart, skeletal muscle, and skin, with upregulated levels during physiological responses like inflammation and wound healing.
DPABH-15306 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-15306 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
