General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11679) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human RASIP1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with RASIP1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by protein A. Ras-interacting protein 1 (RASIP1), also known as RAIN, is a protein encoded by the human RASIP1 gene located on chromosome 19q13.33, consisting of 12 exons that produce a 962-amino acid polypeptide with a molecular weight of approximately 104 kDa. This protein serves as a specific effector of Ras and related GTPases, binding preferentially to their GTP-bound forms via a conserved Ras-associating (RA) domain in its N-terminal region, while featuring a proline-rich motif and a C-terminal DIL domain homologous to those in myosin V for potential cargo binding and protein interactions. Expressed ubiquitously across human tissues with highest levels in the heart, lung, fat, and spleen, RASIP1 localizes primarily to perinuclear juxta-Golgi vesicles and cell-cell junctions in endothelial cells, where it is recruited by activated Ras to regulate endomembrane signaling distinct from plasma membrane pathways.
DPABH-11679 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-11679 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
