General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16216) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PSIP1, targeting the amino acid region 2–87 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PSIP1 is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the PC4 and SFRS1-interacting protein 1 (PSIP1), also known as lens epithelium-derived growth factor (LEDGF), which functions primarily as a transcriptional coactivator and chromatin-associated protein involved in gene regulation and cellular stress responses. The protein, particularly its longer isoform LEDGF/p75, interacts with transcription factors and splicing components to facilitate mRNA processing, chromatin remodeling, and DNA repair pathways, playing essential roles in processes such as lens epithelial cell differentiation, neuroepithelial stem cell maintenance, and neurogenesis. PSIP1 exhibits chromatin-binding and histone chaperone activities, associating with transcriptional elongation complexes to reduce R-loops and support efficient gene expression, while also contributing to viral integration, notably in HIV-1, by tethering integrase to host chromatin.
DPABH-16216 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-16216 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
