General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25827) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PRSS1, targeting the amino acid region 24–247 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PRSS1 (serine protease 1) encodes cationic trypsinogen, a pancreatic serine protease precursor that is secreted by pancreatic acinar cells and subsequently activated in the small intestine to form trypsin, an enzyme essential for dietary protein digestion. Trypsin catalyzes the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, particularly after lysine and arginine residues, and also activates other digestive zymogens to coordinate the digestive enzyme cascade. PRSS1 is important for normal exocrine pancreatic function, and gain-of-function mutations in this gene are strongly associated with hereditary pancreatitis due to premature intracellular trypsin activation and pancreatic tissue autodigestion. Because of its pathogenic relevance, PRSS1 has been widely studied in gastrointestinal genetics and pancreatic disease mechanisms.
DPABH-25827 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-25827 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
