This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05459) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PRRX2, targeting the amino acid region 1–253 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PRRX2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PRRX2 (Paired Related Homeobox 2) is a transcription factor belonging to the paired homeobox family that plays important roles in embryonic development and tissue differentiation. It contains a conserved homeodomain that enables sequence-specific DNA binding, allowing it to regulate the expression of genes involved in developmental patterning. PRRX2 is particularly implicated in mesenchymal cell function, where it contributes to processes such as cell migration, proliferation, and epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT). It is expressed in various developing tissues and is thought to work in concert with other transcriptional regulators to control organogenesis and skeletal development. Emerging studies have also suggested a role for PRRX2 in cancer progression, where its activity may influence tumor cell invasiveness and metastatic potential. However, its precise downstream targets and regulatory mechanisms remain incompletely defined.
DPABH-05459 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-05459 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
