This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00737) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PRPF8. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PRPF8 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Pre-mRNA splicing occurs in 2 sequential transesterification steps. The protein encoded by this gene is a component of both U2- and U12-dependent spliceosomes, and found to be essential for the catalytic step II in pre-mRNA splicing process. It contains several WD repeats, which function in protein-protein interactions. This protein has a sequence similarity to yeast Prp8 protein. This gene is a candidate gene for autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa. DPABH-00737 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:20–1:100) applications. DPABH-00737 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
