General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-17502) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PRDX3, targeting the amino acid region 5–233 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human PRDX3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Peroxiredoxin 3 (PRDX3) is a gene located on chromosome 10q26.11 in humans that encodes a 256-amino acid protein belonging to the peroxiredoxin family of antioxidant enzymes. This mitochondrial thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide, peroxynitrite, and organic hydroperoxides to water and alcohols, respectively, thereby detoxifying reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting cells from oxidative stress. Expressed ubiquitously across human tissues with highest levels in the adrenal gland and kidney, PRDX3 is localized primarily in the mitochondrial matrix, where it maintains redox homeostasis essential for cellular proliferation, survival, and mitochondrial function.
DPABH-17502 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-17502 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
