General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15995) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PLAGL2. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PLAGL2, officially known as PLAG1 like zinc finger 2, is a protein-coding gene that encodes a C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor involved in DNA and/or RNA recognition. Located on the reverse strand of chromosome 20q11.21 (genomic coordinates: 32,192,504-32,207,743 in GRCh38), the gene spans approximately 15 kb and consists of six exons, producing a 496-amino-acid protein with at least six zinc fingers in its N-terminal region and a proline- and serine-rich C terminus. Discovered in 1998 through screening of a human fetal kidney cDNA library for sequences homologous to the related PLAG1 gene, PLAGL2 exhibits weak transactivational capacity compared to other family members like PLAGL1.
DPABH-15995 is suitable for use in IHC (1:25–1:100) application.
DPABH-15995 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
