General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03529) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PGRMC1, targeting the amino acid region 75–195 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Progesterone receptor membrane component 1 (PGRMC1) is a 195-amino-acid heme-binding protein encoded by the PGRMC1 gene on human chromosome Xq24, belonging to the membrane-associated progesterone receptor (MAPR) family and characterized by a cytochrome b5-like domain that facilitates heme coordination via tyrosine residue Y113. As a component of a progesterone-binding protein complex, PGRMC1 binds progesterone and exhibits diverse functions, including proposed to act as a heme chaperone to shuttle heme from mitochondrial synthesis sites to other cellular compartments, stabilizing cytochrome P450 enzymes in a heme-independent manner to support their activity and protect against drug-induced liver injury, and regulating heme homeostasis across organelles.
DPABH-03529 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03529 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
