This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13335) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PCDH11Y. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene belongs to the protocadherin family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein consists of an extracellular domain containing seven cadherin repeats, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic tail that differs from those of the classical cadherins. This gene is located on the Y chromosome in a block of X/Y homology and is very closely related to its paralog on the X chromosome. The protein is thought to play a role in cell-cell recognition during development of the central nervous system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013]. DPABH-13335 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application. DPABH-13335 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
