This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02554) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human NPY5R, targeting the amino acid region 1–100 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with NPY5R from mouse, dog, cow, horse, and rabbit. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a receptor for neuropeptide Y and peptide YY. The encoded protein appears to be involved in regulating food intake, with defects in this gene being associated with eating disorders. Also, the encoded protein is involved in a pathway that protects neuroblastoma cells from chemotherapy-induced cell death, providing a possible therapeutic target against neuroblastoma. Three transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
DPABH-02554 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-02554 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
