General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25157) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MEK2. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with MEK2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Catalyzes the concomitant phosphorylation of a threonine and a tyrosine residue in a Thr-Glu-Tyr sequence located in MAP kinases. Activates the ERK1 and ERK2 MAP kinases (By similarity). Activates BRAF in a KSR1 or KSR2-dependent manner; by binding to KSR1 or KSR2 releases the inhibitory intramolecular interaction between KSR1 or KSR2 protein kinase and N-terminal domains which promotes KSR1 or KSR2-BRAF dimerization and BRAF activation. DPABH-25157 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IHC 1 (50-1:200), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications. DPABH-25157 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
