General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-19722) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human MC4R, targeting the amino acid region 1–50 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with MC4R from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-bound receptor and member of the melanocortin receptor family. The encoded protein interacts with adrenocorticotropic and MSH hormones and is mediated by G proteins. This is an intronless gene. Defects in this gene are a cause of autosomal dominant obesity. DPABH-19722 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), ELISA (1:5,000–1:10,000) applications. DPABH-19722 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
