This product (Catalog No. DPABH-02536) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MC4R. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with MC4R from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-bound receptor and member of the melanocortin receptor family. The encoded protein interacts with adrenocorticotropic and MSH hormones and is mediated by G proteins. This is an intronless gene. Defects in this gene are a cause of autosomal dominant obesity. DPABH-02536 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:1000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500), IHC 1 (50-1:200) applications. DPABH-02536 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
