This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05870) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human LRRC8A, targeting the amino acid region 464–810 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human LRRC8A from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. LRRC8A, also named as SWELL1, KIAA1437, and LRRC8, belongs to the LRRC8 family. LRRC8A is the essential subunit of the volume-regulated anion channel (VRAC), a key regulator of cell volume homeostasis. It forms heteromeric channels with other LRRC8 family members (B-E) to transport chloride, organic osmolytes, and drugs. This channel is crucial for processes like regulatory volume decrease (RVD), cell proliferation, and migration. Dysfunction of LRRC8A-VRAC is implicated in cancer chemotherapy resistance, stroke, and immune disorders (PMID: 24790029, PMID: 39550567, PMID: 40642832). The molecular weight of LRRC8A is 94 kDa.
DPABH-05870 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate) applications.
DPABH-05870 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
