This product (Catalog No. DPABH-00805) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human LDHB, targeting the amino acid region 181–250 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with LDHB from mouse, rat, pig, cow, and rabbit. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes the B subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme, which catalyzes the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+ in a post-glycolysis process. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. Recent studies have shown that a C-terminally extended isoform is produced by use of an alternative in-frame translation termination codon via a stop codon readthrough mechanism, and that this isoform is localized in the peroxisomes. Mutations in this gene are associated with lactate dehydrogenase B deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes X, 5 and 13.
DPABH-00805 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-00805 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
