This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05410) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human L3MBTL4, targeting the amino acid region 1–91 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human L3MBTL4 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. L3MBTL4 (Lethal(3) Malignant Brain Tumor-Like Protein 4) is a member of the MBT (malignant brain tumor) domain–containing protein family that functions as a chromatin-associated regulator of gene expression. It contains MBT repeats that recognize methylated lysine residues on histone tails, enabling it to bind chromatin and contribute to transcriptional repression and epigenetic regulation. L3MBTL4 is primarily localized in the nucleus and is thought to participate in maintaining chromatin compaction and controlling accessibility of genomic regions. It has been implicated in the regulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, and some studies suggest a role in cardiovascular biology and tumorigenesis, where altered expression may influence disease progression. Although its precise molecular targets and mechanisms are not fully defined, L3MBTL4 is considered part of the epigenetic machinery that links histone modifications to transcriptional control.
