General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11607) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KIR2DS2, targeting the amino acid region 22–291 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. KIR2DS2 (killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor, two Ig domains and short cytoplasmic tail 2) is an activating receptor expressed primarily on natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of T cells. It belongs to the killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor (KIR) family and contains two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains and a short cytoplasmic tail lacking intrinsic inhibitory motifs. Instead of delivering inhibitory signals, KIR2DS2 associates with the adaptor molecule DAP12 (TYROBP), which contains an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM), enabling transmission of activating signals upon ligand engagement. Although its precise ligand specificity remains less well defined compared to inhibitory KIRs, KIR2DS2 has been implicated in recognition of certain HLA class I molecules and plays a role in antiviral immunity, tumor surveillance, and modulation of inflammatory responses. Genetic variation in KIR2DS2 has been associated with susceptibility to infectious diseases, autoimmune conditions, and cancer outcomes, highlighting its importance in immune regulation.
DPABH-11607 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-11607 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
