This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03775) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human IGFBP4, targeting the amino acid region 22–258 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human IGFBP4 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 4 (IGFBP-4), encoded by the IGFBP4 gene on human chromosome 17q21.2, is a secreted protein belonging to the family of six high-affinity insulin-like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs). It binds both IGF-I and IGF-II with high affinity—particularly IGF-II (association constant of 3.4 × 10¹⁰ M⁻¹ versus 1.4 × 10¹⁰ M⁻¹ for IGF-I)—prolonging their half-life in circulation while modulating their bioavailability and interactions with cell surface receptors. Primarily functioning as an inhibitor of IGF actions, though it also exhibits IGF-independent activities such as promoting cardiogenesis, IGFBP-4 inhibits IGF-mediated cell proliferation, growth, and mitogenic effects by masking key receptor-binding residues on the IGFs.
DPABH-03775 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03775 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
