General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20890) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HNRNPM, targeting the amino acid region 69–285 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The N-acetylglucosamine receptor (NAGR1), also known as heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein M (hnRNP M) and encoded by the HNRNPM gene on chromosome 19p13.2, is a multifunctional protein that serves as a specific binder of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc), a key monosaccharide in glycoprotein structures. This receptor functions primarily as an RNA-binding protein within the family of heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs), where it associates with pre-messenger RNAs (pre-mRNAs) in the nucleus to regulate processes such as alternative splicing, mRNA metabolism, and nucleocytoplasmic transport through its three quasi-RNA recognition motif (qRRM) domains. Additionally, as a monomer of the N-acetylglucosamine-specific receptor complex, it plays a specialized role in thyroid follicular cells by facilitating the selective endocytosis and recycling of immature GlcNAc-bearing thyroglobulin molecules, aiding in the intrathyroidal processing of thyroid hormones. Alternative splicing of HNRNPM produces multiple isoforms, contributing to its ubiquitous expression across human tissues, including high levels in bone marrow and colon, and its involvement in diverse cellular programs beyond thyroid function, such as breast cancer metastasis regulation via splicing modulation.
DPABH-20890 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-20890 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
