General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-16868) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human HDAC3, targeting the amino acid region 1–376 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human HDAC3 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the HDAC3 gene. The HDAC3 gene is located on chromosome 5q31.3. Aliases include RPD3 and HD3. It is a zinc-dependent enzyme belonging to the class I family of histone deacetylases, which remove acetyl groups from lysine residues on histones and non-histone proteins to regulate gene expression and cellular processes. As a key transcriptional corepressor, HDAC3 primarily functions in the nucleus by associating with nuclear receptor corepressor complexes such as NCoR/SMRT, where it compacts chromatin and represses target genes essential for development, metabolism, and homeostasis. Its catalytic activity is uniquely dependent on interactions with these corepressors, and global deletion of HDAC3 results in embryonic lethality due to defects in gastrulation, underscoring its indispensable role in mammalian physiology.
DPABH-16868 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-16868 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
