General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03872) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human FEN1, targeting the amino acid region 1–336 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Flap endonuclease 1 (FEN1), also known as flap endonuclease, is a structure-specific nuclease enzyme that belongs to the 5' nuclease superfamily and catalyzes the hydrolysis of phosphodiester bonds in DNA substrates featuring a 5'-single-stranded flap emerging from a double-stranded region. This enzyme exhibits both endonucleolytic and 5' to 3' exonucleolytic activities, generating products with a 5'-phosphate and 3'-hydroxyl terminus, and preferentially cleaves double-flap structures to create ligatable nicks during nucleic acid processing. FEN1 is highly conserved across all domains of life, with homologs such as the bacterial 5' nuclease domain of DNA polymerase I and eukaryotic Rad27, underscoring its fundamental role in DNA metabolism.
DPABH-03872 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03872 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
