General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03603) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human DRD1, targeting the amino acid region 338–446 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human DRD1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The dopamine receptor D1 (D1R), encoded by the DRD1 gene located on chromosome 5q35.2, is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) belonging to the D1-like subfamily of dopamine receptors and represents the most abundant dopamine receptor subtype in the central nervous system. It functions primarily as a postsynaptic receptor that binds dopamine with high affinity, coupling to stimulatory Gαs/olf proteins to activate adenylyl cyclase, thereby increasing intracellular cyclic AMP (cAMP) levels and downstream protein kinase A (PKA) signaling. Expressed predominantly in brain regions such as the striatum, prefrontal cortex, nucleus accumbens, hippocampus, and substantia nigra, D1R plays essential roles in neuronal growth, development, motor control, reward processing, motivation, cognition, and attention.
DPABH-03603 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03603 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
