General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26722) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human CYP2C19, targeting the amino acid region 201–300 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. This protein localizes to the endoplasmic reticulum and is known to metabolize many xenobiotics, including the anticonvulsive drug mephenytoin, omeprazole, diazepam and some barbiturates. Polymorphism within this gene is associated with variable ability to metabolize mephenytoin, known as the poor metabolizer and extensive metabolizer phenotypes. The gene is located within a cluster of cytochrome P450 genes on chromosome 10q24.
DPABH-26722 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500) applications.
DPABH-26722 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.02% Proclin300, 1% BSA, 0.01M PBS, pH7.4. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
