Antigen Description

This gene is part of a large cluster of cytochrome P450 genes from the CYP2A, CYP2B and CYP2F subfamilies on chromosome 19q. Exhibits a coumarin 7-hydroxylase activity. Active in the metabolic activation of hexamethylphosphoramide, N,N-dimethylaniline, 2-methoxyacetophenone, N-nitrosomethylphenylamine, and the tobacco-specific carcinogen, 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone. Possesses phenacetin O-deethylation activity. Cytochrome P450 2A13 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CYP2A13 gene. 0The function about CYP2A13 antigen include aromatase activity; electron carrier activity; heme binding; metal ion binding.
