General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14523) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human CCDC137, targeting the amino acid region 1–289 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. CCDC137, also known as coiled-coil domain containing 137, is a protein-coding gene located on human chromosome 17q12 that encodes a protein with a predicted coiled-coil domain and RNA-binding activity. The CCDC137 protein, with UniProt accession Q6PK04, is expressed in various tissues and has been implicated in cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation and chromosome periphery organization. Research has identified CCDC137 as an oncogene with roles in tumorigenesis, particularly in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), where it disrupts interactions between LZTS2 and β-TrCP to promote cancer progression. Elevated CCDC137 expression correlates with poor prognosis across multiple cancer types and is associated with increased tumor-associated macrophage infiltration, positioning it as a potential prognostic biomarker. Additionally, CCDC137 functions as a chromosome periphery protein (cPERP-B) involved in multifaceted regulatory mechanisms, and its degradation by HIV-1 Vpr protein activates nucleolar-specific ATR pathways, contributing to DNA damage, G2/M cell cycle arrest, and enhanced viral transcription. Mutations in CCDC137 have been linked to phenotypes affecting adipose tissue, neurological behavior, and cardiovascular systems in mouse models.
DPABH-14523 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000) application.
DPABH-14523 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
