General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05936) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human APH1B, targeting the amino acid region 196–257 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human APH1B from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Probable subunit of the gamma-secretase complex, an endoprotease complex that catalyzes the intramembrane cleavage of integral proteins such as Notch receptors and APP (beta-amyloid precursor protein). It probably represents a stabilizing cofactor for the presenilin homodimer that promotes the formation of a stable complex. Probably present in a minority of gamma-secretase complexes compared to APH1A. DPABH-05936 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:6,000) application. DPABH-05936 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
A: Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near the C terminal amino acids 235-257 of Human Aph 1b.
