General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14137) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ALS2CL, targeting the amino acid region 780–953 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ALS2CL (ALS2 C-terminal Like) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a cytoplasmic protein related to ALS2 (alsin), a guanine nucleotide exchange factor involved in endosomal trafficking and cytoskeletal dynamics. ALS2CL is thought to function as a scaffolding or regulatory protein in Rab GTPase–mediated vesicular transport pathways, particularly those associated with endosome maturation and intracellular trafficking. It may interact with components of the endosomal system and contribute to the regulation of membrane trafficking and neuronal maintenance. Expression data indicate that ALS2CL is broadly expressed, with potential functional relevance in neural tissues, consistent with the role of its homolog ALS2 in motor neuron biology. Although its precise molecular mechanisms and binding partners remain incompletely defined, ALS2CL is considered part of the cellular machinery involved in vesicle transport and intracellular organization, and may have relevance to neurodegenerative processes.
DPABH-14137 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000) application.
DPABH-14137 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
