General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-22631) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ALDH6A1, targeting the amino acid region 194–535 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ALDH6A1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Aldehyde dehydrogenase 6 family, member A1 (ALDH6A1) is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes the mitochondrial enzyme methylmalonate semialdehyde dehydrogenase (MMSDH; EC 1.2.1.27), a member of the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily. This enzyme catalyzes the irreversible oxidative decarboxylation of methylmalonate semialdehyde to propionyl-CoA and malonate semialdehyde to acetyl-CoA, playing an essential role in the catabolic pathways of L-valine, thymine, and beta-alanine-derived compounds. Located on chromosome 14q24.3, ALDH6A1 is predominantly expressed in the liver and kidney, where it contributes to intermediary metabolism by detoxifying aldehydes and supporting energy production.
DPABH-22631 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:3,000–1:12,000), IHC (1:150–1:600) applications.
DPABH-22631 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
