General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-11731) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ALDH1A3, targeting the amino acid region 33–512 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ALDH1A3 is a protein-coding gene located on the long arm of human chromosome 15 (15q26.3) that encodes retinaldehyde dehydrogenase 3 (RALDH3), also known as aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 family member A3, an enzyme belonging to the aldehyde dehydrogenase superfamily. This enzyme catalyzes the NAD+-dependent oxidation of all-trans retinal to all-trans retinoic acid (RA), a pleiotropic signaling molecule critical for embryonic development, including spinal cord formation, retinal specification, neuronal differentiation, and epithelial maintenance. ALDH1A3 exhibits high substrate specificity for retinal, with a catalytic efficiency approximately 10-fold higher than that of related isoforms ALDH1A1 and ALDH1A2, and follows a sequential ordered mechanism where NAD+ binds first to stabilize the enzyme structure.
DPABH-11731 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-11731 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
