General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-29007) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ALDH1A1, targeting the amino acid region 1–501 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Acetaldehyde dehydrogenase refers to a family of enzymes, primarily aldehyde dehydrogenases (ALDHs), that catalyze the NAD(P)^+-dependent oxidation of acetaldehyde—a toxic intermediate in ethanol metabolism—to the less harmful carboxylic acid, acetate. These enzymes play a critical role in detoxifying aldehydes generated from alcohol consumption, environmental exposures, and endogenous processes, thereby preventing cellular damage from reactive species. In humans, the superfamily comprises 19 ALDH genes, classified into families based on sequence identity greater than 40%, with key isoforms including cytosolic ALDH1 and mitochondrial ALDH2.
DPABH-29007 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:2,000–1:8,000) applications.
DPABH-29007 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
