General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-13675) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AGR2, targeting the amino acid region 21–175 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human AGR2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. AGR2, or Anterior Gradient 2, is a gene located on the short arm of human chromosome 7 at position 7p21.1 that encodes a 175-amino-acid protein belonging to the protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) family. This ER-resident protein, with a molecular weight of approximately 20 kDa, features a signal peptide for ER targeting, a thioredoxin-like domain containing a CXXS motif for catalyzing disulfide bond formation and isomerization, and a C-terminal KTEL motif for ER retention, though it can be secreted extracellularly. Primarily expressed in endoderm-derived epithelial tissues such as the trachea, lung, stomach, colon, prostate, and small intestine, AGR2 plays a critical role in the maturation and secretion of secretory proteins, especially mucins like MUC1, MUC2, and MUC5AC, thereby supporting mucus production and maintaining homeostasis in the respiratory and intestinal tracts.
DPABH-13675 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-13675 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
